Cthulhu Session

I ran the second session of the new Cthulhu campaign for the gang, and it went rather better than I feared. At one cabin deep in the woods, I was expecting the party to be mauled, and they came up with not one but two clever strategies to work around a tough set of obstacles. I was impressed.

D&D players sometimes find a few rules of the Lovecraftian narratives find tough to adapt to, but CoC players quickly learn that avoiding unnecessary combats is crucial, as is following every lead or clue.

The group is a little (and understandably) concerned that they haven't seen any overt supernatural elements yet. I'm really not worried.

All this post really does is make me bemoan the fact that my Delta Green campaign died in embryo since two of the enthusiastic would-be players moved out-of-province. Grr.

I still have not managed to play CoC (aside from one of Dr. John's Scooby-Doo games which, while excellent, aren't really the same thing).
Let me know if any of your players have a heart attack, I'll gladly fill in.
