Cthulhu, Session 3

The Astoria inspectors took a third run at what seemed to be a kidnapping, and turned over some very suspicious rocks. The group hit its first San loss, its first Mythos notebooks, and seems to be reopening what *was* an open-and-shut case.

The characters have gelled nicely, and I think everyone had an opportunity to shine despite widely divergent backgrounds. I'm always amused by the character elements that arise from die rolls. In the case of the current group, it's clear that Frisco Bob (a man of the road) is Good With Dogs. This is derived from staring down a pack of farm dogs and later quieting a neighbor dog during a completely necessary burglary.

I'm also enjoying making up the local newspaper to report news of the world and news of the party's success. I may have overdone it this week, as every single story was "Continued on page 3" just at the point where it was getting interesting. In my defense, there's just no way I'm writing a whole set of newspaper articles beyond the front page for every session.

That would be a lot of supplemental writing.

Is it classic, 1920's Cthulhu?
