Hagrid Says What?

I get home late after day of the Grind, and I find that my wife has finished reading the British Harry Potter. And (I swear this is not a spoiler), it amuses me no end that in the British edition, Hagrid sounds a little different than he does in the American edition. Check the icon.

I can't stop saying "Oi, scarper off, you lot!" in my fake Hagrid voice. It's totally irrestible.

I haven't read any of the Potter books, but frankly, there's no way they can possibly live up to the weird schoolboy/punk-rock-meets-magic novel that exists in my head. It is a laff riot. In my version, Slytherin is a hair band.

Sometimes an overactive imagination is worthwhile (witness present circumstance).

Sometimes, generally around 2 AM, I'm scrambling for the "Off" switch, trust me.

Happy to oblige.

Maybe I can convince someone to photoshop Malfoy onto some Spandex-clad figures such as: http://www.badcat.bz/images/Teeze.jpg

I like your version! But who sings lead: Draco Malfoy or Severus Snape? As I think about it, I suspect that Malfoy's the lead singer. Snape likes to lurk a bit too much. I think that he'd be the big quiet one playing bass and looking menacing.

I dunno. Is Malfoy the blond kid with the sneer? In which case, yeah, him. A sneer is always good.

The quiet lurker is definitely a bass player. Even better if he always has a cig dangling from his lip.
