So Glad I'm No Longer in a Lahar Zone

Apparently Mt. Rainier is more dangerous than anyone thought, and the poor pitiful fools who live in Orting, Auburn, and Kent may soon (in geological terms) see the cycle of volcanic mudflows return. It's on MSNBC.

I've moved north of all that. Even so, I hope the mountain doesn't come visiting Seattle/Tacoma in my lifetime.

Well, of course, you're still in that magnitude-9 earthquake zone (which is overdue)...

Comfortingly,

Oh, yeah? Well, um, at least tornadoes are surgical strikers. Not like your, "Oooh, I'm a >volcano or earthquake< and I'm going to annihiliate EVERYTHING around me! Bwaahahahahahaha ha haha ha!"

We don't cotton to loudmouths like that round here >g<.
