The Rainy Season

Yesterday the clouds really settled in, and the forecast for the week is all clouds and rain. Mind you, it hasn't rained in 3 months in Seattle, but I think the dark and rainy season has begun.

No more sangria on the sidewalk next to Green Lake. Time to crawl back into our caves and put away the sandals.

Ah, and about now Kansas becomes the most lovely place: in the 50's at night and low 80's during the day. Of course, we had to put up with nearly a month of 100-ish to achieve this, but, ah...

I do miss those lovely Seattle summers!

Weather
And of course, the weather belies the forecasters now, as it's sunny and 70. *sigh* Come back, clouds!

Re: Weather
It's never too late to jump on the gloom train. That sunny and 70 thing? An illusion, transitory, a passing reminder of what was.

Winter is coming. :)

Re: Weather
Q: And how long will this winter last?

A: Until Martin finishes his next book.

winter is coming? HOORAY!
I woke up this morning, (hey, 11am is still morning) heaved myself out of the bed, and proceeded to walk into the doorframe as I was squinting from the sun being so damned bright today.

Seattle doesn't have WEATHER. England has 'weather.' That scary, tempermental, extremist thing that makes people sick all the time. Seattle is just ... temperate. Nice.

Come visit. It'll give you a change of scene. ;)

Me Loves Seattle!
I like Seattle weather because it's never bad. I enjoy sunny days. I enjoy gloomy days. A perfect weather day for me is cloudless but cool in the upper 60s or overcast with thick billowy clouds with a strong wind and a touch of bluster. Mmm...bluster....

See? I can't lose.

Oh, the worst day? Any day at or over 80 degrees, regardless of sky activity.

I'd love to visit the Midlands. Just not sure I want to do it in winter. You could show me the ghettos of Manchester, or Leeds, or what have you.
