Nesmith Sighting

Bruce Nesmith, whom some of you will remember from his TSR days with the Ravenloft crew, and others will remember for his work on the Elder Scrolls CRPG, has been quoted in the Washington Post while he was out car shopping, dissing the Chevy Cobalt:

Bruce Nesmith, a computer-game designer from Gaithersburg, came into the dealership with his wife, Laurie, after a sport-utility vehicle sandwiched their car. ...

After test-driving the Cobalt, Nesmith complained about the lack of cup holders and electronic features and the car's inadequate sound system.

"It was immediately obvious that it was far more stripped down," he said.

His kids didn't like it, either. "The Cobalt was seriously lacking the cool factor," he said.

Sometimes, just reading the newspaper is a little surreal; you don't expect to find out that a former co-worker was in a car crash from a national newspaper. And I'm not surprised Mr. Nesmith has strong opinions on automotive design.
