Progress Update

Over the weekend, I cobbled together roughly 3,800 good words on the Secret Ω Project. Pretty good movement, spurred by the imminent kickoff of the first playtest, starting Wednesday. Thinking about heading down to the library again tonight, actually, since it's such a nice environment for thinking writerly thoughts. And I'm keen to expand on one of the ideas I was just starting to get rolling when the library closed.

I can't believe the Central Library closes at 5 on Sundays. Maybe I'll write to Mayor Nickels about it.

Most public libraries I've been to have closed at 5 or 6 on Sundays, so that doesn't come as much of a surprise to me.

3,800 words, pretty good progress. I think I managed a mere 1,500 spread over three stories.

Yeah, but I've found writing fiction is slower than game material. 1500 sounds pretty good to me.

Me and Sumbunall stopped by the New Seattle library a week a ago and got there at 6, right when it was closing, on a thursday. If I don't live in seattle do my tax dollars pay for that? If they do I want a refund. Either way we're headed down again tomarow to get there beofr it closes. I need to re-research the egyptian pantheon and religion.

If you do not live in Seattle and use the Seattle libraries, you are a freeloader, so no complaining allowed. They're open until 8 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.

Your tax dollars pay for your local library in some benighted suburb, probably. :)

What's the Egypt project? It sounds interesting.
