If you love chocolate, or you just find the idea of an island paradise appealing, indulge yourself in this bit of Horatio-Alger meets-travel-writing from the BBC about Principe and Sao Tome, small islands off the African coast that are known as the "Chocolate Islands" for good reason. Oddly enough, chocolate isn't native to the islands; it was introduced as an ornamental plant there in 1822 by the Portuguese Jose Ferreira Gomes. The Telegraph has a more data-driven description of the hardships involved in restoring chocolate production to the islands.
