I'm really not a huge convention goer. I go when my employee sends me, or when I have a new game book to talk about, but I'm too much the introvert to be "on" for three or four days running. Panels, demos, and sales are all a lot like work. But I love to meet people. The hanging out, informal conversations, and gabbing with other industry folks is great.
So this year I've decided to do something about it. I'll be skipping Norwescon and attending BarCon instead at the same hotel. You'll find me at the hotel bar today from 3:30 or 4ish until 6ish, and maybe later in the evening. Stop by, say hello. I'll be wearing the fiery shoes.
Hope to see some Seattlites there!

We should find an excuse to get together when it's not because someone is leaving town.
I guess I'm going to have to throw another cocktail party one of these days.
Hm, maybe I'll invite folks around for cocktails if the Writerly Getaway is a success. That would mean .... sometime the week of the 11th or so.
