I spoke on two panels, "There Is No Story Fairy: Writing Myths" and "Calling Young Writers". I think I was batting about .500, which seemed about par for the day.
I met Guests of Honor Jim MacDonald and Debra Doyle, both very friendly and approachable folks. Jim is the deeply amusing person responsible for Atlanta Nights by Travis Tea. It's a first novel like no other.
My pitch is in the morning, so of course I'm rewriting it. I'm leaving out some of the subplots because there's just not room to talk about EVERYTHING.

Oh, I'll read again I'm sure. I'd forgotten how much fun public performance is, and how much fun that book is. I liked it so much I pitched it in the appointment I had shortly thereafter. They asked to see a partial. :D
