Street Life

Some days, I feel like I'm in a Fellini film, or at least that I'm suddenly in a more interesting life than the usual. Yesterday was one of those, because I saw so many interesting people on the street and in the shops.

* A tall thin man in pink hat, pink suit, and pink-dyed beard. Put him next to cupcake_goth, and you have a wedding-cake topper of sartorial splendor.
* A man and a woman eating lunch at KFC, who were chatty, hungry, ordinary folks who happened to have the small arms typical of thalidomide. I found it heartening that no one paid any special attention.
* A shy barista at the tiny new coffee shop on 45th, who becomes a wholly-different person when talking about comics. I hope his new business thrives.

I put this down to leaving the grey confines of the East Side and visiting Capitol Hill and the U-District.

Is that the new comics and coffee place shoehorned into a space in the Wells Fargo building?

That's the one!

I just dropped in on my way to the bank, and it turned out to have a cute elderly dog, and a chatty owner. Mind you, I think there are 6 other coffee shops within 100 yards.
