Legos Are An Art Form

I've always said Legos rule. Just a week ago, I saw the new Mindstorms set in action. They're robotics for beginners, and entire future generations of roboticists will talk wistfully about these things in decades to come.

And then there's this, the Lego Starry Night. It's possibly the geekiest and sweetest copy of the work I can imagine.

LEGO, not Legos!
LEGO is both singular and plural! Or you could use LEGO blocks or pieces of LEGO, but Legos? ANATHEMA! C'mon, any real LEGO nerd knows that! It's an abbreviation of "leg godt" - Danish for "play well."

Sorry, just a pet peeve, like people who add an 's' to the end of business names that don't have an 's' at the end.

BTW, speaking of Star Wars lego, the LEGO star destroyer, 28 lbs of sheer LEGO insanity, took 23-1/2 hours of work spread out over many months, including repair work when it was sat on by the dog or bumped by me or one of the kids, but it was quite glorious. Until I got remarried and my second wife didn't like the giant 2-1/2-foot-long monstrosity and it started getting moved around here and there... and then it broke and I just didn't have the heart or the time to put it back together. Someday...
