It's A Trap!

The sixth and final installment of my Adventure Builder series is live on the WotC site. This one was in some ways the hardest to write, as traps and terrain are difficult to design in a way that reinforces an adventure rather than simply stalling it. I focused on the story elements, on traps and dangers geared to non-rogues, and I worked from the models provided by Hollywood.

Re: On a side note
Well, my two favorites to date are the Spider Thief and the Universal Key as well, and I think for many of the same reasons.

In both cases, they can either be a useful tool/helper for an artificer or wizard, or they can serve as an encounter.

Oh, and I almost wrote up a walking, talking ballistae, until I found the one in MoE. So, I guess I dodged a bullet because someone else did the obvious thing first. :)

The concept of the arbalester in MoE isn't a horrible one, but the artwork really turned me off; it felt like an extra from Disney's Beauty and the Beast...
