Back in the day at TSR, it wsa a bit of a standard joke to call everything "The Big Book of" something. Big Book of Demons, Clerics, Lost Souls, Gnomes. Big Book of Little People (the 2E Gnomes and Halflings splatbook). Naturally, these were not the publication titles, but the name just got attached to stuff. Big Book of Lawful Planes. Chaotic Planes. You get the idea.

Why do I bring this up? Well, I seem to have missed the arrival of another one of my Clockwork Wonder articles, which is (surprise!) a clockwork book. The article went live just before the holidays: this one is called The Brass Book, and it's one that I like very much, probably because it's such a great foil for the DM. In particular, it can answer some very important Eberron questions.

Give it a read — or rather, speak into the tube right over here...

Unrelated to that book, I enjoyed the AQ article in the current Dragon. Good piece, if a bit brief.

Yeah, I really wanted to expand that out to double the length, with stats for the Dao general and more, but I'm glad that AQ gets any love at all.

Very cool book. I like it - and the attitude. 34 pounds though? That's something you do *not* lug around casually.

I think of it as a "luggable". :)

I love it when people get the in jokes. John Hodgman is the perfect voice for the book. As well as a very funny PC.
