A Young Lady's Primer

Alas, the media jackals at the SciFi channel have acquired the rights to Neal Stephenson's Diamond Age, an excellent volume that deserves better than SF is likely to offer.

However, "Stephenson will adapt his novel for the miniseries, the first time the Hugo and Nebula award winner has written for TV," so perhaps not all is lost. Still, after Earthsea debacle, the Skept-O-Meter is pretty much pegged for all things SciFi.

I don't know, Sci-Fi doesn't do too bad a job. Just compare the movie version of Dune with the TV version. Two different visions, two different scales, but I prefer the TV version. I'm looking forward to this.
