If you have a paid account, you can use the LJ Syndication feature (it's in the Help or the FAQ) to set up his RSS as an LJ feed.

I haven't done so because a) I'm down to my last syndication credit and b) I want to be sure he posts for a while before I subscribe. All too many blogs vanish after 30 or 60 days. THough that would be quite a shame, in this case.
