Leisure Time and Reading Time

Yesterday was sunny and warm and I strolled through the roses in the park across the street, listening to the power lines crackle and hum. Today, it's rainy and grey and I've been pounding the keys trying to get caught up. I'm already looking forward to grilling some bratwurst tomorrow.

I have a copy of Hollow's Last Hope, the freebie Gamemastery adventure from Paizo, a gift from lemuriapress and damn if it isn't the slickest thing ever. Full color throughout, better paper and cover stock than I had any right to expect, and just a really solid layout and look. Just because it's free, doesn't mean it has to look cheap.

Also reading the next Captain Alatriste book, and enjoying a crunchy nonfiction piece on the Siege of Vienna (1683). Because I loves me a good siege. Actually, I grabbed it by mistake at the library, thinking it was about the Siege of Vienna (1529). As it turns out, the second is just as interesting as the first, what with all the panicked flight by the Hapsburgs, Tartars plundering Austria (!), and crafty Transylvanian politics.

Oh, and I launched The Free City, a personal site for all my gaming posts about Open Design, about Kobold Quarterly, about writing for Paizo and so forth. I'm debating moving all gaming posts out of this LJ and over there. On the one hand, people know I post occasional gaming stuff here. On the other, I've always thought of this as more a personal blog than a professional one.

Flip a coin? Double post? I'll think of something.

I'd certainly prefer that you continue posting all your gaming stuff here as well, but that's mostly because it's easier for me to just check my friends list than to have to remember another site to look at regularly. ;-)

But if you do move the material over there, I imagine I'll survive.

I agree with Mouse - can you carry on posting here too?

I'm for LJ
I look at LJ much more frequently than I do other sites (call me weird) and would love to know you're still posting here. That's not to say I won't check out the Free City, only that I think staying on LJ would be cool. Very cool.

However, I think you should do what you feel is best for you.
