Small Game Hunting

Turns out the traps I set out haven't caught anything, though I've moved them around to try to catch the mice on their "game trails" in the attic. It's time to step up to poison of the warfarin or D-Con varieties. I'm not crazy about putting poison in the attic, because if a mouse eats it and dies in the back yard, our dog is sure to eat that dead mouse. And that would be a disaster.

Anyone got small game hunting experience? A favorite brand of trap or poison? Exotic mouse hunting mongeese for rent?

Eeek!
Mice? Yikes! I didn't know you were deaing with mice. I'm so sorry. Sadly, the one proven mouser I could have loaned you has gone to the Great Mouse Hunt in the Sky. :(

The problem with poison, of course, is that you could end up with dead mice in the attic or walls, which creates an awful smell. I'm sorry to hear the traps aren't working; I wish I had another solution for you.

In short, my sympathies....
