They start taking the picture of me, with the giant corporate art and the cafeteria spread out below me (I'm on a balcony). And they continue taking pcitures. And they keep taking it, for like 15 minutes, from different angles. They rearrange my can of mineral water on the table to look better. I keep updating the site with new search keywords and submitting the changes. They put bigger filters on the cameras and start photographing from a tripod eight feet high.
They tell me it's for an article on "corporate culture" for some glossy German business daily (pull quote: "Ja ich bin ein Microserf!" "Wir sind Alle Microserfs!").
I guess there are two possibilities:
- I look like a typical Microsoft person. And that's kind of scary, actually.
- I look better than typical Microsoft person. And that's better, but still setting the bar a little low.
My day is just a little more surreal. Maybe they got me confused with David Sanger.
